Mystery Mountain Project II: Redemption- Fundraising Dinner Event May 7, 2022

Come meet the expedition team before they set off for the climb in July 2022. Watch the film, Mystery Mountain Project by Greg Gransden. This documentary film shows the expedition team recreate the 1926 route of the Munday’s through the valley leading up to the mountain. In addition, former expedition member and author Susanna Oreskovic will be available for signing copies of her new book, Expedition to Mystery Mountain: Adventures of a Bushwhacking, Knickerbocker-wearing Woman.

Not to be missed are the raffle prizes and the interactive display table of the vintage clothing and gear actually used in the expedition.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE: Burgers and Beer Fundraising Event on April 4 is Postponed due to COVID-19

Dear friends and supporters,
The health and safety of our members, friends and family are important and it is our duty to act responsibly in this difficult time. While the Ontario government recommendations are to cancel events with over 250 people, we are continuing to see more closures and reductions. As a precautionary measure in light of the pandemic COVID-19 virus, the Canadian EH Society is postponing our Burgers and Beer Bonanza Fundraising event and Annual General Meeting on April 4, 2020. 

We continue to monitor the situation and will communicate when the Fundraising event can be rescheduled. We will communicate to our members through email and post announcements on our website, Facebook and Instagram accounts.

A tell-all of the Mystery Mountain Expedition of 2018 featuring a slideshow and expedition members will answer questions. A three-course gourmet dinner will be served and as always Raffle prizes will round out the fun. Proceeds will help pay for exciting new expeditions we will present as well.

Get cash for your old paddling, hiking, camping, skiing or climbing gear.

Join us for a fun evening of good food, great company, awesome prizes and a journey through climbing history featuring guest speaker Helmut Microys presenting the Yukon Alpine Centennial Expedition of 1967. He will also feature a slideshow of the first ascent of Mt. Ontario. A film screening of Chic Scott’s “Expedition Yukon” will also be shown.

A four-course gourmet dinner will be served by the expedition team of the Mystery Mountain Project taking place in the summer of 2018. Raffle prizes round out the fun.

Proceeds will help pay for gear for the Mystery Mountain Project 2018 – our re-enactment of the 1926 exploration of the Waddington Range by Don and Phyllis Munday and their party.

We are happy to come to your organization or event to speak about our projects and present our documentary films. We believe that these Canadian stories need to be told. Our expedition teams have a unique understanding of how the early explorers must have felt and what they endured.
